Coins Actual 1.jpg

The Commemorative Coin is 1.5 inches in diameter.

The front of the coin is antiqued gold with the words “Knights Templar” at the top, the dates 1118-2018 to the left of a silver shield, and “900 Years” to the right of the silver shield. At the center of the front of the coin is a Red Cross pattée with a white background, to represent the mantle Knights wear, and a silver ring around the cross.

The back of the coin has an antiqued gold outer rim, followed by a black ring with the Latin text from the Vulgate translation of the Book of Psalms, Psalm 113:9 “Nōn nōbīs, Domine, nōn nōbīs, sed nōminī tuō dā glōriam” inscription in gold lettering, and a Red Cross pattée centered at the top of the black ring. The black ring represents the Sergeants at Arms (SAA) of the Knights Templar. Next is a field of brown to represent the Companions at Arms (CAA) of the Knights Templar. At the top of the CAA field, there is the Beauseant, or the Templar battle flag. Below the Beauseant are the Seals of the Knights Templar, which includes the Order's symbol of two knights on one horse, and a representation of the circular dome of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, or The Dome of the Rock. Finally, the coins will be individually numbered.

Coins will be in an acrylic coin case.
